The Opportunity

With three divisions, namely, Scientific, Medical and Healthcare, Esco contributes to meet the challenges of the 21st century by continuously innovating our products to support cutting-edge research, helping biopharmaceutical companies make their drugs safer and more cost-effective, enabling lower cost manufacturing of vaccines, and directly through innovative medical devices and diagnostics.


Main Duties

The ideal candidate will be involved with the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, ledgers, reconciliation, monthly closings and account analysis, and supporting colleagues from various departments. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, independent, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
  • Responsible for month-end closing, preparation of monthly financial reports, and other reports as          required by management
  • Review and monitor financial performance vs. budgets and prepare cash flow forecasts
  • Reconciliation and analysis of accounts, as necessary
  • Monitor bank accounts and resolve issues, if any
  • In-charge of invoicing, monitoring receivables, and follow up collection from customers
  • Prepare purchase orders, review and process payment vouchers, and expense reports
  • Monitor and control inventories
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting, tax, statutory, legislative requirements and group policies
  • Other tasks assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accountancy, with at least three (3) years working experience in General accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage, but not required
  • Audit background preferred, but not compulsory
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft NAV is an advantage
  • Organized, analytical, and can work under pressure
  • Can maintain high accuracy of work
  • Able to converse and read in English
  • High professional integrity, honesty, and trust
  • Proactive and a team player

The ideal candidate will be involved with general Human Resources tasks including end-to-end recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, labor regulations and policy-making, and training. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, independent, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Human Capital Management (HCM) team in delivering full spectrum of Human Resources services.
  • Handle HCM administration work, provide support and advise to employees as required.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining the Employee HCM database and confidential personal files.
  • Assist in the proper planning, developing, managing and administering training programs for employees.
  • Assist in the orientation and induction program for new employees.
  • Managing the recruitment of staff; processing of end to end Employment
  • Employee timekeeping in charge and other HR/Admin tasks such as but not limited to processing of government member ID applications
  • Any/all tasks that management may assign to you



Requirements:
  • Degree in Human Resources Development/Psychology or similar programs
  • With at least three (3) years of working experience as HR Generalist.
  • Familiar with full spectrum of HR (training, recruitment, labor regulations, etc.)
  • Good command in written and spoken English.
  • IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Meticulous, organized with an eye for details.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Pleasant and approachable personality with a positive learning attitude
